March 14, 2023 D3hoops.com 2023 women's All-Region 10 team The All-Region team is cat country, as Ashlyn Milton of the Trinity Tigers is the Player of the Year and Jason Pruitt of the La Verne Leopards is Coach of the Year. Rookie of the Year goes to Sul Ross State's Melody Martinez.
August 17, 2022 Sul Ross State hires ULM legend Sul Ross State has hired E.J. Lee Smith as its new women's basketball head coach. Smith was a two-time All-American at UL-Monroe and is considered one of the best point guards in Division I women's basketball history.
February 5, 2022 Saturday women: Narrowing the field John Carroll turned the OAC title race into a two-team affair and Sul Ross State helped Mary Hardin-Baylor move closer to clinching hosting rights for the ASC playoffs on Saturday afternoon. Elsewhere Webster swept its closest contender in the SLIAC and Hanna Geistfeld entered an exclusive club. Read about it here.
April 8, 2017 Sul Ross hires new women's coach again Sul Ross State hired Katie Novak Peebles as its next head women's basketball coach. She replaces Caleb Henson who resigned In January, less than 10 months after being hired.
April 25, 2016 Sul Ross hires assistant from D2 champs Sul Ross State named Caleb Henson as its next head coach. He was an assistant for Lubbock Christian which won the 2016 Division II championship with a 35-0 record.
